Rectification:
The photo of the Jetways F50 that was shown in the previous edition (5Y-JWZ,
20208) appears to be a manipulated picture, probably an artist’s impression of a
possible future livery. In reality the aircraft is white with black titles only. |

In
June 2017 Amapola Flyg AB acquired one more F50 from Largus Aviation AB,
registered SE-MFD, formerly YL-BAU with Air Baltic (20126). As the picture
demonstrates, Amapola is in the process of converting this airframe into a
freighter (Paul Zethof, Malmö, September 11, 2017) |

On
April 30, 2016, Air Vallée experienced a mishap when their leased F50 (SE-LEZ,
20128) landed in Catania without the nose gear extended. As a consequence, Air
Vallée’s AOC was suspended once more. After a couple of months the aircraft was
flown via Bergamo to Malmö, where Amapola started scrapping it. The picture
shows the aircraft missing quite some vital parts (Paul Zethof, Malmö, September
11, 2017)

Air Panama is currently operating 5 Fokker 50’s with one more to follow. Mid
2017 the airline adopted an updated livery, of which not only the tail but also
the aft fuselage is painted red. So far HP-1793PST (20162) is the only F50
sporting the new colors (Mike de Bruijn, Bocas del Toro, January 23, 2018)

Leascor is a new Philippines charter airline that started operations in December
2017. Their first large aircraft is F50 RP-C8250 (20282, to be confirmed). (Rio

TN-BEH |
Trans Air Congo. This Fellowship started its life in 1977 as SE-DGM with
Linjeflyg and later merged into SAS. In 2000 it moved to South Africa as
ZS-XGV, first with Intensive Air Pty, later with AirQuarius, which
leased it to Air Express Zanzibar, Trans Air Congo, Air Excellence
Gabon, Air One Nine Libya and South African Express, always as ZS-XGV.
From June to August 2007 it flew in Indonesia as PK-TWW, before
returning to Africa as TN-BEH with Trans Air Congo. After it ended its
active carreer in 2012, there were plans transforming the aircraft into
a restaurant, but these plans fell through. Currently it serves as a
billboard for the Emoya Estate, a luxury hotel and conference centre
close to New Tempe airport near Bloemfontein, South Africa. |
