That the derelict remains of a Friendship still can be useful showed TAVAJ
Friendship PT-LAG (10197) which played a role in a large disaster victim
identification exercise by the Scientific Police of Paraná state in Brazil (Polícia
Científica de Santa Catarina; Curitiba, 5 December 2019)
After a donation in 2008 Federal Express F27-500 N705FE (10367) is still
part of the collection of the Hickory Aviation Museum. It is on display in a
poor condition, the weather influence is clearly visible. (John Tomlinson on
Flickr; Hickory, 12 October 2022)
This picture demonstrates that Safari Express Cargo
F27 5Y-SEC (10550) has been operating for the United Nations World Food
Programme. It is believed to be withdrawn from service now. (Mylos Besseling,
via André Alders; Nairobi-Jomo Kenyatta April 2022)
The only Troopship of the Bolivian Air Force that is still flying, is
FAB-90 (10578). In line with the trend adopted by many air forces it has got an
all-grey color scheme,. (Mauricio Alejandro Canedo Valdivia on Facebook; unknown
location, August 2022)
The flying career of PK-KRA (10632) with Asialink Cargo Express lasted
only four years, as can be seen in this movie:
https://www.facebook.com/muh.wahyudi.777/videos/10217962631119642.
In 2020 the airframe was scrapped.
(Muh Wahyudi on Facebook; Surabaya, 9 October 2020)
This picture marks an event of historic significance: Australian operators have
used Fokker turboprops uninterruptedly for over 63 years, since the first F27
Friendship was taken into service by Trans Australia Airlines in June 1959. This
era came to an end when ex-Alliance Airlines F50 VH-FKW (20306) departed
Australia on delivery to Air Panama. (Tony Haynes on Flickr; Adelaide, 29
November 2022)
After being sold to Air Panama for spares, this ex-Alliance Airlines
VH-FKX (20312) was seen being broken up.
(Brett Shillabeer on Flickr; Adelaide, 25 November 2022)
Apologies for the quality of this picture, which was made on long distance. It
shows an all-white F50 6O-AAE (c/n still unknown), being worked on for an
unidentified operator in Somalia. (André Alders; Mogadishu, 12 November
2022)

Further to the photo legend in the previous
Fokkernews edition, we emphasize that there is no doubt about the
identity of the F50 that R'Komor is currently operating. However, the
history of the airframe still poses some unanswered questions. |

The only place where one nowadays can make such photographs is in Australia: no
less than eight F100s in a single frame. VH-FSQ (11450) of Virgin Regional
is leading the row, followed by VH-FNU (11373) and VH-FSW (11391). The first of
five Alliance Airlines F100 is VH-UQD (11460).
(Merv Crowe; Perth, 26 November 2022)
Having been withdrawn from service almost 20 years ago, Merpati F100
PK-MJC (11463) is still waiting for its end in a rather poor condition.
