Finally, your Fokker News has returned! The paper version could not be continued anymore due to various reasons but we have managed to start this section as part of the renewed AIRnieuws website. As you have noticed we are writing this section in English for obvious reasons since we are on the World Wide Web. In the near future we have plans to extend the subjects with more items like pre-World War II Fokker aircraft, F27 & F28 Operator Overviews, Crashes & Incidents, Specials, also Fairchild F-27/FH-227 and of course Pictures, recent and historical ones! The recently formed Fokker News crew (a team of six Fokker specialists!) are currently preparing several items and should be soon ready for publishing at this website!

The Indonesian Air Force has tragically lost their second Troopship A-2703 (10538) on 6 April 2009. While attempting to land the F27 flew against a maintenance hangar at Bandung Airport killing all 24 occupants on board.

This year KLM Cityhopper bv will dispose six Fokker 50's because of the economical situation and having sister company VLM around. As from 3 April PH-KXH (20249) left the fleet already with PH-LXK (20271) soon to follow. Later this year also the other four ex-KLM uk Fokker 50's will have to go.These are PH-LXJ (20270), PH-LXP (20276), PH-LXR (20277) and PH-LXT (20279).

Mass Holding bv (owner of several Fokker 100's) has obviously the intention to take over three Fokker 50's of Ocean Air Linhas A'reas, Ltda. Two Dutch registrations have been reserved on 13 January 2009 and one on 23 January 2009. The involved aircraft are PR-OAA, PR-OAB and PR-OAC. Currently PR-OAA has been registered as PH-KXN and arrived already at Maastricht for maintenance to be carried out by SAMCO.

Two Fokker 50's PR-OAW (20281) and PR-OAX (20296) of Ocean Air Linhas A'reas, Ltda are back with Avianca's fleet again and re-registered as HK-4581 and HK-4580. Both F50's flew earlier with Avianca as PH-AVH (HK-4481-X ntu) and PH-AVN (HK-4482-X ntu).

SE-LJV (20103) is still in the colours of former operator Crescent Air and the cabin received an update to the earlier fitted E-class freighter outfit. Also no large cargo door has been installed making the MiniLiner F50's the only freighters with such a door.

Already painted in the colours of Feeder Airlines 9M-MGK (20248) is seen here waiting for delivery to Sudan. Delivered via Delhi as ST-NEX early February, this is the second Fokker 50 for this small operator based at Khartoum.

Big surprise! One of Saskatoon's long stored ex-Canadian North F28's has been sold as TU-PAB to a still unknown operator from Ivory Coast. The F28 is currently at Dinard for heavy maintenance and most likely painting.

Both Fokker 100's of Aero Mongolia, currently parked at Ulan Bator, could be going to Contact Air Interregional. The steadely growing German company has reserved the registrations D-AFKC for JU-8428 (11428) and D-AFKD for JU-8452 (11352). Both reservations are reportedly valid until 28 August 2009.

KLM Cityhopper bv is about to order seven more ERJ-190's for delivery during 2010. The last three of the current ordered batch will be delivered this year and not next year as scheduled earlier.

The only Fokker 100 of Kostar Air Lines, Co. Ltd has been returned to Holland. The startup of the South Korean company has failed. After the delivery of HL7777 (11470) late August 2008 Kostar director of transportation division Kyu Byung Kim said the launch of operations was postponed until October 2008. By the end of December the company still had not revealed its routes although possible flights between Gimpo and Cheongju were mentioned. The F100 was shortly at Seletar for some technical attention carried out by Fokker Services Asia and arrived at Fokker Services Woensdrecht on 23 April. The new operator will be Denim Air according to owner Mass Jet Lease bv.

MexicanaClick will replace its Fokker 100 fleet by 25 ex-Midwest Boeing 717's which are parked at Victorville, CA since October last year.
The 25 Fokkers currently in service with Click are leased from GECAS, Aircraft Financing & Trading, Mass Jet Leasing en Pembroke and all will become available within short notice. Only 4 F100's are repainted in the new MexicanaClick colours (XA-KXJ, XA-SHK, XA-SHL and XA-TCM)
